Green World feels that our Essay Competitions form
an important link with our aim to involve the next generation,
whose actions will affect the future of the planet and all
its inhabitants.
Our last contest was expanded to include all grades
of Detroit High School Students, who were asked to "Explain
How Other Animal Species Can Be Affected by Human Behavior
Toward Their Environment."
CGW extends thanks to our Director of Humane Education,
Marjorie Burfitt, for organizing the contest and to our
distinguished panel of judges: Joan Cash, MA; Donald Hale,
Specialist of Arts; and Richard Wojciechowski, DVM. To
