A REVIEW: PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE

Cool Green World, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was formed in 1995 to promote and further the issues of animal rights, animal welfare and natural habitat preservation. Toward this end, Cool Green World undertakes the following activities:

1. The use of MEDIA to inform the maximum audience about these issues.
2. Direct, HANDS-ON INVOLVEMENT to prevent animal abuse.
3. Participation in, and support of, specific works, PROJECTS AND CAMPAIGNS of organizations working in related fields.
4. STUDENT EDUCATION to inform the upcoming generation.

Since our formation in 1995, we have successfully worked toward those goals .

MEDIA: TELEVISION

With the use of the media, we strive to bring the ethics of rights for all animals and protection of their habitat, concern for the welfare of all species and the ideas of cruelty-free living to the mainstream of public ideology, rather than have these concepts continue to be considered "alternative" or "extreme."

Through the efforts of a dedicated and talented board of directors, which includes experts in areas of animal issues, communications and education, COOL GREEN WORLD is working to bring public attention to animal and environmental issues. In this way, people will have the knowledge to make their own informed decisions and help to bring about compassionate reforms.

We bring these issues before the public with innovative, dynamic television programming that is entertaining, informative and educational.

  • Our television series, COOL GREEN WORLD, is cutting-edge, exciting, magazine-style programming dealing with a variety of world-wide animal welfare, animal rights and environmental protection issues. Each program is attention-grabbing, as well as informative, using fast-paced graphics and music combined with in-depth reporting and interviews with activists and celebrities who are supporters of animal protection such as world-renowned primatologist, Dr. Jane Goodall, and singer and animal rights supporter, Sarah McLachlan.
  • Seven COOL GREEN WORLD television programs have been aired on numerous local cable networks, dealing with a range of animal rights and welfare issues including topics from animal experimentation, the fur industry, hunting, trapping, and the Premarin process, to the killing of primates for bushmeat.
  • National and local organizations have requested to use copies of the videos at animal rights exhibits, as well as to have the programs broadcast in their areas. The programs have been widely acclaimed and encouragement has also come from celebrity advocates and organizations working in relevant fields on local, national and international levels.
  • Our program on the inhumane treatment of horses, including the plight of wild mustangs and the horse-slaughter industry, has been broadcast twice nationally on MSNBC.
  • COOL GREEN WORLD is producing a ground-breaking documentary on animal cruelty and its deeper societal implications. This will be for television broadcast, as well as for use with high school and college students. see details here »
  • The creation and national launch of COOL GREEN WORLD TV cable network is one of the major long-term goals that we are working toward at this time. see details here »
